It’s been 8 years for me as a professional athlete, I was hoping just to get 2 ?.

My first year out of college, I wasn’t even signed. I had to stay home and train by myself, setting back and forth with a friend until the USA camp began again.
...
Luckily for me, the next year I was able to catch my 1st break : signing a contract to play in Finland!
...
It was cold, dark and difficult but I was so grateful that a team took a chance on me and I only saw the light and the unbelievable opportunity that I had in front of me.

I still write Raisio (Finnish City) on my shoes to remind me of the deep joy and of the excitement I felt, to have been given the opportunity to be a professional and all the focus, work and determination that came with this abundance.

Fast forward 8 years and I am living my dream (playing in Poland) it’s easy to have a scarcity mindset and to miss my family, friends, my hometown or to think about relationships that have ended because of my lifestyle but I prefer all the friendships, experiences and even the challenges that I have experienced throughout my time as a professional athlete - I am truly blessed ??.
