Continuing our takeover with EB #kayaker @benstookesberry in Myanmar. “Myanmar - Irrawaddy source to sea Attempt - @ckorbulic and I spent a month trying our best to navigate the Irrawady river, the length of Myanmar, by hiking 100 miles into northern headwaters and kayaking 50 miles downstream, where we were required to exit the river due to clashes with rebels. Finally, we made a week long conflict portage to try heading downstream again. It was there, after we had traded our kayaks for a local Canoe, where we had our wildest experience of the trip. 17 hours into the day we both fell asleep at the proverbial wheel. Before dawn, we drifted into dense fog and rapids filled with downed tree's and nearly capsized in the middle of the 1/4 mile wide river. The next morning we were picked up by local authorities and detained for questioning."
