Who da gazekeepers/gatekeepers of our collective minds!
Tonight at 6pm I’ll be in a talk at @goteborgskonstmuseum about returning the gaze alongside some very competent and interesting people. If in gothenburg please come through.
I’ll probably talk about how photography comes with a long history of imperialistic and concurring thoughts of it’s subjects which gets enhanced with words like “shooting” a person and how the camera is originally designed to have a person look at something who can’t see it self. How have the photo practise changed with the selfie cam and various flip screen devices that enables the subject to view themselves in the moment of getting photographed? ❤️❤️❤️
