Dear City the kitty,

I wanted to share this as an example so that maybe people could see what declawing would look like on a human. Several years ago I lost my pinky, with no anesthesia directly below the nail bed, at the knuckle, much like a declawing procedure.
Sometimes people disassociate themselves from animals, when we really are the same... Even now my finger is very sensitive to even gentle touch and some days it is just sore due to nerve ending damage. This is the same for cats... Mine is just a pinky, but I can't imagine asking a furry friend to walk on their entire paws like this.
I know people are trying to stop you and it breaks my heart. You are fighting an amazing fight for a good cause. Even if people try to get in your way, know that kitty cats, and kitty cat lovers everywhere are thanking you!! Maybe this will help put it in perspective for some of the more stubborn folks!
