#fbf : me, back in 2016, directing an Edward Sharpe (@esmzeros) music video (“No Love Like Yours”) in New Orleans, with the magnificent @リード・モラノ as my cinematographer. (We shot it on iPhones). Watching Reed direct me in her feature, @meadowlandfilm, made me want to be a director. Now, a couple years later, I’m about to direct my first feature. I’m posting this because Saoirse Ronan said watching Greta Gerwig direct made her feel like she could direct one day. We need to see more images of women directing. This one is special because it’s me directing with my ride-or-die friend and mentor as my DP.
