Growing up I always thought of baseball as my favorite sport. My passion. A beautiful game to play. (It absolutely still is) Having said that, fast forward to now & I've come to realize that it is so far beyond just a game. Just a sport.. It's an opportunity. It's a platform. It's a gift. I thank God everyday for giving me something I can work tirelessly at both mentally & physically but at the same time be able to give back to others in some capacity. I've learned to play for more reasons that just selfishly loving the game & trying to be the best ever. God doesn't care about awards or money. He cares about utilizing our gift to reach others who thought they were unreachable - Thank you @riseupforkids for helping me grow where I am planted.
