Hundreds of thousands gathered around the nation on Saturday, wielding signs and sporting pink hats, at Women’s Marches in cities across the United States. It was the second such protest since #DonaldTrump entered the White House.

While most marchers came to share their opposition to the Trump administration, many also spoke about the importance of voting in the upcoming 2018 midterm election. In major cities, people in the streets registered attendees to vote.

President #Trump tweeted in response to the marches, encouraging women to “get out there now to celebrate the historic milestones and unprecedented economic success and wealth creation that has taken place over the last 12 months.”
