I’m in tears watching Aly and so many others stand up for themselves. As my beautiful Jewish mother would say... “I’m verklempt” watching all of these girls and women come together, share their stories. It is not easy you guys. I don’t care who you are, it isn’t easy. I laugh to myself when people say “pink doesn’t take any shit.” In some ways that is true, but in many ways it took years for me to push back. It took years for me to find my voice. And every day I start over. Just this week, in therapy, I said this: my roar is beautiful. My roar is motherhood. My roar is love. My roar is justice. My roar is justified. My roar is MINE.
