My happy place ? 2018 is off to an amazing start. This year, I made the decision to stop worrying about views, numbers, looks...and most importantly how others see me. As an ‘influencer,’ I’ve always felt the need to ‘do the right thing’ or look ‘good.’ But shit, ya girl ain’t perfect and nobody is!! I don’t always do the right thing or say the right things, but I’m ME and you are YOU. There’s no need to explain why you do the things you do, why you buy the things you buy, why you dress the way you do, or why you eat the things you eat. You don’t owe anyone an explanation on how you want to live. I think many of us feel the obligation to explain to others why we are the way we are because we are afraid of judgement. For example, a lot of us women feel the need to say - ‘omg I look terrible, I don’t have makeup on.’ But no one should feel that way. We tell others that because we want others to believe we could look better. But truth is, it doesn’t matter how you look on the outside. Sure, looks can go a long way in this superficial world. But a good heart, a sense of humor, kindness and love goes much further. This year, I’m spending more time embracing my bare face with acne, my thighs that don’t have a gap, my itty bitty boobs, and so much more! I hope to inspire you all to do the same- to stop worrying so much of what’s on the outside, and start caring about your soul, your mind and your spirit ❤️
