Going to bed feeling wildly grateful, tonight. For the hard stuff that shapes us, the good stuff that saves us, and the surprise cotton candy skies that take our breath away when we’re present enough to look up.

I had a long dinner with my parents tonight. Our conversation fell down rabbit holes and meandered through the present and far-off past. We laughed. We shed an unexpected tear or two. We all learned things I didn’t know. We retraced familiar steps we know so well. Three humans, at various stages of figuring out how to live in little human bodies, sitting around a table eating a meal and being damn grateful for each other. Today was a good day.

In moments when the world feels overwhelming, really tapping into gratitude changes everything. I hope that each of you, in some way, had a moment today that made you feel so thankful to be alive. For where you are. Or for where you come from. And if not today, I hope you have that moment tomorrow. Lean into it. Sweet dreams y’all.
