35 years ago, I released this album. It was to be a defining moment as me and my band as we trudged through the endless tours of the time, sometimes doing three shows a day. (Radio Show/support gig/club gig). No one had any idea what was going on but we could definitely feel the ground swell of interest was taking us out of the nightclub scene, of which we had been a part of for so long. We never went back to it because of this album, and things just kept building as we kept touring. Even going to Europe when I was told not to go, “no one is interested“and that I’d be wasting my time. Luckily I didn’t listen to many people at that time about my music. “Get me some gigs in England” I said to my agent and our gig at the Sheffield Polytechnic proved all the naysayers were wrong.
