Each year, The American Alpine Club recognizes outstanding achievement in conservation, climbing, and service to the climbing community. Thank you to the AAC for honoring me with the Robert Hicks Bates Award. I am humbled to be among the other awardees at the event, Sally Jewell, Ellen Lapham, John Roskelley, and Alex Honnold (@アレックス・オノルド) . It will take me many years of hard work, dedication, and education in order to impact the community as these four individuals have. Their vision as well as their commitment to the outdoors, education, conservation, and public service serves as an example for all of us to courageously embrace life and work towards a common good.
