While ALL countries have their challenges—- to diminish one so disrespectfully and so black with such a rich history is just not going to fly with me. Yes the nation of Haiti has endured so much- especially at the hands of Mother Nature. Between hurricanes and earthquakes- there has been much suffering. But let’s not deny the beauty and the resilience of the PEOPLE there. I have many Haitian friends and the pride runs deep- as it should! Swipe Thru these beautiful images from Haiti and of Haitian people and try to find anything sh***y about them- you can NOT! And just to speak on the spirit of Haiti- did you know that the successful Slave Revolution from 1791-1804- was the only one that resulted in a former colonies independence? It was the only slave uprising that lead to the founding of a state-Free from slavery and Ruled by non-whites. This scared the hell outta lazy US slave owners and let them know that the end was near! This act was credited with challenging old school beliefs about black inferiority- which was a myth! This revolution shook up the world when it came to slavery and inspired many others to fight for independence from white rulers. My point of bringing this up- is a nation that’s been so important historically- and has had to endure so much- should never be diminished, demeaned or disrespected again. We won’t stand for it. Just wanted to show a little Love in such hateful times and share some of the images that they may not be as ready to share. #Haiti #Respect ??????
