We need to urge Congress to amend #CDA230 on National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.
Children are bought and sold for sex on #backpage, the market leader for sex ads. Several of these children have filed lawsuits against Backpage. However, most of their cases have been dismissed under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which protects websites from claims involving third-party content. Meaning that it is legal in this country to host ads selling children.
