There are days that I feel like giving up on this cause because it is so difficult and frustrating. ?
No matter how the pro-declaw side tries to stop me or makes my life difficult, I won't give up fighting the good fight to save kitties from having their toe bones and claws amputated.
I really need your help ??. I need ONE person who had their cat declawed at this vet practice in Albion, Illinois to come forward and file a report about how this vet isn't using any pain meds after he declaws cats. (This vet practice in Illinois does NOT have a facebook page fyi)
About 6 months ago I reached out to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to alert them about this American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) @avmavets vet. (He's a 40 year member)
They said I could file a complaint. So I did and attached all the info and my story. (Story is on my fb post or google “city the kitty declawed with no pain meds”)
Well, I waited and waited and tried to follow up and the nice man in charge said there is one investigator for 300 cases.????? Today he told me that he needs evidence and needs a pet owner whose cat was declawed by this vet without pain meds to come forward. He said that owner will have to agree to signing a release for me to obtain records.
After ALL this waiting, why didn't he tell me this in the first place, that they can't do anything unless they have a cat owner file the report!!!! ?I mean, isn't there enough evidence in my story to AT LEAST look into this situation for goodness sake! ?
