So the new year didn’t entirely start as planned. On the only dry day in Font I heard a pop when climbing. It turns out that I’ve torn the a2 pulley in my right ring finger. Not quite fully so that’s good. .
I’ve had a scan and I feel incredibly lucky to be working with a great team of people to get it fixed up. If there’s one thing I know how to do it’s come back from injury. I’m always determined to come back stronger and to be a better climber. This time is no different. .
Of course I’m frustrated. I really, really want to go climbing! I’ve had similar injuries before. I’m familiar with the recovery process. I know it can be annoying, I know it takes time, patience and perseverance but doing it in the past doesn’t really make it any easier. It’s always a battle. .
So... I’m going to be spending lots of time in the gym. No excuse not to keep working on legs and core! I’ll keep you updated and try to give some insights into my recovery for those who are curious and to help any of you suffering from similar injuries. .
