"On the last day of our trek to Machu Picchu, which also happened to be their Summer Solstice, we woke up at 4 am to start our trek by 5. The goal was to be at the Sun Gate by 8 am... ? For anyone who is planning to hike the Inca Trail in 4 days, I would also recommend getting permits to hike up Huayna Picchu. It’s worth the extra 30 min. climb!
