Whether any of the fat and bitter old men from the 80s and 90s, men who make lists about what is good and bad about skateboarding, want to accept it or not, skateboarding has grown out of and transcended that super core, “everything sucks but what I’m into, and you’re a kook if you don’t like what I like” point of view. Skateboarding is everyone who loves it. It’s not mine or yours or those guys, it’s all of ours and even the iciest of hearts, the meanest of men and the darkest of souls couldn’t look at this clip of @rayssalealsk8 and not feel lucky to be part of something thats grown so much and come so far.
