"7 out of the 8 days in #Iceland, we had perfect weather. On Tuesday, December 5th, 2 days before leaving, we went on the hunt for the northern lights in the northern region down the street from our hotel. Around 9:30-10pm, we jumped in our 4x4 and I tried to find a perfect spot. I thought I found one and then decided against it and continued to drive around some more (my wife was extremely irritated at this point) but I knew what I was looking for; a good foreground (us) and a good background (the moon, #northernlights, city lights, and mountains). I parked, looked up, and boom they began to dance. I hurried for my tripod, told Lydia where to go and what to do. While this picture is my favorite, I'll never forget standing there in the 18 degrees chilly evening, looking up at the sky, and seeing waves of green light crashing into each other like waves in the ocean. It is the most spectacular thing you can possibly imagine." #MyCanonStory
