We all went around the table over the holidays and gave our feelings about 2017.. answers varied from “Great!!” To.. “It was like stubbing my toe... repeatedly, over and over.” But then when it came to my Grandpa (Papa) he excitedly said.. “Well we made it didn’t we?!!!” Then he chuckled at his inside joke to himself and continued eating his food. That took my breath away. How grateful he is for just another year, just one more day... It was beautiful, simple and truthful.
Some didn’t get that chance to make it to the New Year. Rest In Peace. ??.
The rest of us get to do it all over again.. failures, embarrassments, happiness, glory, the romance, the heartbreak, the career success, career frustration, the feuds.. the wins and losses.. some are even fighting for their lives as we speak.. so at some point we have stop ourselves and really appreciate the fact that we made it this far.. and who knows what happens from here but at least we get a chance to see... just a little more than we had before... everything that life is. #wemadeitthisfar #everythingelseisextra #thingsitellmyself #sendinglove
