And number 2 of the top 3 comes in as a first ascent! I can remember finding this line back in 2014 and wondering if it was possible. In 2015 I looked at it again but didn’t finally try it until 2016. I barely managed to do a few of the moves and the crux move eluded me. Returning this year, I set to work and was beyond psyched when I finished the crux moves. After a few days of work I managed to make the first ascent of the “higher” start which I named, “the pirates code” and gave the grade of V13/8B to it. I am stoked to have done this line but really am just counting down the days until I can get back to Africa and try to complete the sit start! It could potentially be the hardest boulder of my life! #bouldering great photo by @punkaca
