I wanted to share this picture of my mum and her youngest sister. Just two of the strong women in my family, who are all brilliant, creative and deep thinkers. We are a batty bunch who talk loudly and passionately at dinner tables. There is constant hysteria about how to cook the fish, the state of the world, who is an introvert and who is an extrovert, who stole the scissors, who is sick and who’s turn it is to clean... then a Bird’s nest is plonked on the table... everyone ooohs and aahs... then we eat and eat ... more... and more, then there are tears and hugs and hysterical laughing.
