When it came to envisioning @wrinkleintime worlds, the first thing director @ava saw was not topography but faces. She wanted the young hero at the center of it all to have brown skin, played by @stormreid, and the three Mrs. to be “black, white and someone who wasn’t either,” as well as different sizes, faiths and ages. “I wasn’t just casting for actresses. I was casting for leaders—icons,” she says. “@リース・ウィザースプーン is the hottest producer in town. @オプラ・ウィンフリー is the most prolific, venerable legend of television and an artist and entrepreneur. And @ミンディ・カリング is one of the few women running a show with her name, about her.
