My sister @jetpebbles is a survivor. She was diagnosed with cancer for the first time (#hodgkinsdisease) at 11 years of age. She underwent radiation treatment(which failed) and 1 round of chemotherapy(ABVD) between ages 11 and 13 only to find herself diagnosed with #breastcancer 15 years later. Our adolescence was like that. Hard. Heart wrenching. Complicated. We’re still working out the pain 30 yrs later. She made it though. Thanks also to my parents’choice of treatments that were only experimental back then, in the 80s. #research
