I’ve always been sensitive and for most of my life I despised the fact that I constantly felt so much. Easy to laugh and easy to crumble. Emotions are seen as weakness, but we need to change this perspective. It is a gift to feel. If you ever feel frustrated for feeling too much, see this as an ability to be in tune with all the energy around you.
Whenever something makes me feel down or negative energy creeps in I remember this passage by Don Miguel Ruiz, "Whatever happens around you, don’t take it personally. Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves. Even when a situation seems so personal, even if others insult you directly, it has nothing to do with you. What they say, what they do, and the opinions they give are according to the agreements they have in their own minds.”
