Heart filled with hope today about the state of this country and the power of the vote and the strength of the black community. The stunning Alabama win of Senator Doug Jones is cause for hope. The fact that the win was overwhelmingly gifted to this country by black citizens of that harsh state is breathtaking. The fact that the city of Selma, a city that I hold so dear and have spent so much time filming and learning, was the knife that slashed the lies of Trump and croonies is breathtaking. Selma. The seat of voting rights just spanked injustice for the second time in grand fashion. Salute! Now, the rest of us need to get in formation! #Alabama #Strong
