As a dad, when my daughter was born, our midwives’ support was invaluable! The team worked seamlessly not only to do their job in helping deliver and in post-delivery care, but they went above and beyond in being compassionate, keeping me at ease and well informed in what truly is a surreal experience as a new dad. They all worked so hard and found the time to answer my questions and worries. They are all so very inspiring! Which is why learning that 1 in 3 midwives feel undervalued is really shocking, given the amazing jobs they do! To help support these amazing people (who have supported us in our most sensitive moments) this Christmas I’m joining @pampersworld in asking mums and dads to thank their midwives for the incomparable jobs they do. For every story shared on social media with #ThankYouMidwife, #Pampers will donate £1 to the Benevolent Fund of the @midwives_rcm which will be used to support midwives in need through the festive season and beyond.
