Bimini is great, swimming with a couple huge great Hammerheads, but there is nothing like swimming in with a school of 300+. The Shark Super Highway between the GALAPAGOS and COCOS islands is a stretch of Ocean where tens of thousands of these sharks migrate back and forth every year. One of the most important parts of the ocean to protect in South America. Laws are being implemented for illegal fishing and enforcement though minimal now will grow. There is HOPE and we can alter the future of these animals and all the animals in the Sea by implementing balance and respect. It is very difficult to address the greed factor and getting every nation to agree. I witnessed a healthy ocean this last month which made me feel all the hard work everyone down there is doing is paying off.
