One of my favourite moments from tour this summer 2017. @emilynemondo is one of my greatest and oldest friends. We gossiped on train on the way to school in south London, debated politics, loved, laughed, cried and grew together through our art and friendship. We serendipitously met in cities around the globe in our adult life. Mondo danced with me at my first Glastonbury performance during Skeleton Song. She came to Bristol and as soon as I hit the first notes on the piano I realised she needed to be on stage with me. I called out for her in the crowd, she shouted ‘Noooooo Kate’ and simultaneously ran towards the stage and performed the most graceful and insanely amazing improvised dance I’ve ever seen.
