Here you can see the completed school all built by volunteers from around the world that gave up there lives for mths/wks to @allhandsandhearts natural disaster relief ♥️ amazing what can be built in 3 months with volunteers & the will to help others. We used are own money to fly South America as all we wanted to do was help! I wasn't interested in sending money, I wanted to physically help! I've been working on 2 schools out of 3 that's being built all in the north of Peru. It's the 3rd time I've gone abroad in 15 years as a volunteer to help build schools as I did similar in Belize & Malaysia with @raleighinternational in rural villages & got to teach children English. It really defines me ??❤️ it's Such a humbling experience to volunteer with @allhandsandhearts the other side of the world in the recovery in Peru to rebuild schools & Hope after #Perufloods #naturaldisaster left 1000s homeless, helpless & killed 100s from months of heavy rains & landslides destroyed people's livelihoods, family's & communitys.-

Here you can see from start to finish how the schools are built. Concrete, steel & very labour intense as you see. The schools will withhold any future floods & are built to last. I learned lots of construction skills, manual labour: cement mixing, digging, sledge hammering, various power tools, carpentry skills. I grew close to the #Peruvian locals who I'll miss dearly along with staff & the amazing volunteers that made it what it is! ♥️??

A unforgettable experience to say the least. We started as 15 volunteers & ended with 60. I was lucky to see #allhands merge with #happyhearts & become @allhandsandhearts ? so it's been a few months well spent & I'm very #gratful #gratitude humbled & proud.
