You may remember Rex a dog we featured a while ago. We would like to update on this case, which is causing alot of worry for all involved.
Rex was seized in January 2017 by police after a vet who was asked to neuter him ready for his new home (via @lasthopeanimalrescueessex) reported him to the police as he suspected him to be a banned 'breed' on the Isle of Man.
Rex was taken into police custody kennels and his case went to court on the 30th October and it was found that Rex was not considered a "Pit Bull" type after an expert veterinary behaviourist carried out an independent and in depth assessment.  However the police do not agree with the outcome and are now challenging this decision by the CPS and holding Rex in kennels. This is considered as unlawful, we now await to find out more.
