For our Sangenjaya cafe, our founder @bluebottlejames was inspired by Elliott Carter’s musical composition “esprit rude / esprit doux,” meaning “rough breathing, smooth breathing.” Here, original poured concrete tumbles into mounds of broken rock, while the smooth lines of the La Marzocco offer a respite for the eyes.
