Sometimes the world feels heavy... know what I mean? Some days I struggle to find the words. To find the faith that we’ll solve this stuff. And some days, just when I need them, peoples words hit my soul like a light in the darkness. Feeling thankful for these lights today. We have to keep working.

Our boys & men suffer tremendous abuse - sexual/psychological/physical, too - as well as our LGBTQI family who are forgotten in the accepted CIS gender narrative. Institutionalized racism/sexism/classicism enables slavery in our prison systems, with auction block slavery in #Libya & indentured servitude/human/sex trafficking everywhere. The FBI says wherever drugs are sold, children are sold. Environmental injustice continues to exacerbate this for everyone as we now have 10's of millions of war/climate change refugees. People are being labeled illegal while a robot designated as female has been granted citizenship in Saudi Arabia. Looking at the news, it seems we've lost our connection to Mother Earth & the divine sacred. There is so much pain & suffering going on in this world...& yet...so much Love, Resolve, Resilience, Vigilance & Persistence! To hold up ones pain does not discredit/negate another's. We've too long been divided along those lines,being shut down so we don't learn about another's experience,don't speak up for ourselves/others, or get so provoked that we lose empathy & instead turn on ourselves/each other, righteously enraged or dispassionate-negating needs/wants/desires as less important than our own. That's how the violence perpetuates. That's how it has even existed at all. This isn't about competing or comparing pain but instead hopefully about appreciating/standing up for & uplifting ourselves & each other in our shared struggles. I'm grateful to be alive & present so that I may sit in the circle of humanity & listen, learn & share my & all of our stories.
