I love to teach. But I love the other part of teaching... you know the part where you get your students better at correcting themselves? Teaching doesn’t entail making up genius choreography. That’s a demonstrator putting a show together so students can think “OMFuckinG she or he is so amazing, I wanna look like that”. But true TV, can your teacher correct you? Do a drill to make you understand a pocket? Do they encourage you when you do something right? Can they explain how to get from A to B to C to different students on different levels? If they can’t do all the above they should start saying, “Hey guys, hope to see you in my class today, Demonstrating to Cardi B.” You are a Demonstrator my friend not a teacher. Is Danielle mad at the demonstrators teaching? Nope, not at all. It’s frustrating and annoying at times but I’m not mad at you eating. I’ll tell you who I’m mad at. I’m PUTTING THE BLAME WHERE IT BELONGS...THE STUDENTS. You buy into it when nowadays there’s no excuses.
So many can grow so much faster but you choose to be comfortable instead of putting yourself in situations where you’re not the best. If you’re the best in the room you’re in the wrong room. Challenge yourself. Ultimately you are your best teacher. No one cares about your well being more than you. Get out of your weekly class. Who cares if you’ll miss a week of being filmed in ur favorite class. FUCK THAT. Go take something else for a while, Disappear and reappear with some new fire and technique.
