Roads are better when they're made of sand ? This epic stretch of sand is known as #RainbowBeach, and you'll find it in the @visitgympieregion of @queensland's @visitsunshinecoast. You can indeed take your four-wheel-drive on the beach here; if you're coming from the south, you'll need to put it on a barge to cross the Noosa River. The beach access point then takes you onto a stretch of flat, hard sand which you can drive along to your heart's content (Tip: check the conditions first with the local visitor centre or your hire car company).
