I hung out with this legend today on skid row feeding homeless with my kids. @themidnightmission has been serving the homeless for 103 years. Way before there was an @ sign before it. Clancy Imislund has been running it for the last 43 years. Clancy turned down a high-paying job as the editor of a high profile newspaper in the early 1970s so he could run the mission for a next to nothing salary. He has helped more people than anyone I have ever met in my life. He has helped me more than he will ever know. And he’s 90 fucking years old! Being of service to others is key in this crazy life. I love my life today and have such gratitude for everything I have been given.
