Been contemplating this so much lately. The source of all this pain and violence is our inability to truly love ourselves, and that inability comes from the belief that we are not worthy of love at all. We are taught that loving ourselves is equivalent to narcissism. We all stay in this bout of insecurity that allows for fear and hatred of the unknown. How can we love something we do not understand when we don't even try to understand the person we look at every day in the mirror? We all have our trauma, we all have our wounds, and the deterioration of mental health is something we are suffering from as a society because of all of the toxic systems we've been governed by for so long. Every one of us has something they are going through and the potential and worth to grow through it and overcome. Each of us is the universe and the level of our understanding of each other will rise the moment we honor this fact in ourselves. Have a beautiful day and always remember to spread love. You never know if that conversation of encouragement with a stranger or friend will change their life forever. Be the light that you are and never forget it, no matter how many times you've been told you are dark, no matter how many times you've been told you are nothing, no matter how many mistakes you've made; we all deserve rebirth in light.
