Two huge differences between being a #vegan in 1987 as opposed to being a vegan in 2017:
The food is better, and there's so much more of it...to put it in perspective: there are more vegan restaurants in my neighborhood in LA in 2017 than there were in the entire world in 1987. And being a vegan in 1987 usually meant a bowl of undercooked rice, whereas now there are countless amazing vegan restaurants and chefs making amazing food. So, luckily progress is delicious. #animalrights
