Right as I started shooting this blog post I got an email from my agent telling me I didn’t get a role I’d been working towards. We get told “no” a lot as actors and mostly I can keep it moving but for some reason this one really stung. I felt so useless and dejected. The last thing I wanted to do was have my picture taken. My husband took a no nonsense approach and pushed me to shake it off, hold my head high and let him get some shots. I’m glad he did. Thank you Iddo.
I’m telling you this, not to get sympathy, but to remind you that what you see on instagram often isn’t reality. I felt like such a loser that day but if I didn’t tell you, all you’d see was a cute picture of me in some cool sunglasses.
If any of you are having a bad day or feeling low right now, dust yourself off, pull your shoulders back and get on with life ?
