Tessitura Attilio Bottinelli is a small family-owned weaving mill founded in 1931 in Villa Guardia, Lombardy – an important centre for Italian silk and textile production. During its first decades, Bottinelli earned a reputation as a manufacturer of intricate silk jacquards for men’s accessories; in the 70’s the production expanded to include finished silk items such as ties, bowties and scarves. Luigi Bottinelli is the grandson of Attilio Bottinelli; he runs today’s modern mill and factory together with his children, employing 54 skilled professionals who craft men’s silk accessories for ARKET.
