Took our old lady to the vet today to have her checked out. Very skinny, obviously, but otherwise in ok shape (at least on the surface). She'll spend the night in the animal hospital for a urine sample, as well as liquid treatment because of dehydration. Got answers on bloodwork, the vet says she has high metabolism and will have to be medicated for the rest of her life, with regular checkups at the vet. I don't think that is something I have neither the money or time to handle, so I'll see if the Animal Protection Services will take her for me. I have reported her owner to them, and I am waiting for their reply.
