Family portrait ??? Whenever we’re traveling, Colin and I always say... we can’t wait to get home to the boys. And I’m so grateful to have this little family. Even to use the word Family is huge for me. Someone said to me when I was younger as I was moving from the group home to a foster home that Family is something that you create, not one that you’re born into. I took it to heart and at that time (to recent years), it felt so heavy. Seeing families together for the holidays was extremely tough for me (after Mother’s Day, I dreaded Christmas). In recent years, the word Family started to feel more comforting. It’s a rather new feeling for me, but I’m actually getting excited for the holidays. Whether it’s a family that you’re born into and/or the family that you’ve built... from our little family to yours, we wish you endless love, happiness, and peace ❤️
