#FBF Years ahead of its time: Soldiers brought down by the invisible wounds of war. This was before PTSD was invented, so nobody knew it was available to be suffered from! They were just fucked up like so many generations had been. Based on real men, friends of the great @LyndaLaPlante, our story cleaned up the tragic end many of them met. The govt and army vehemently denied any problems, the letters we got from prison and homeless shelters told a different story. Thankfully, things have changed, at least in terms of recognition, if not treatment. This was the first beard I’d ever grown - I was so fascinated and impressed by it on the first Sunday morning that the light hit it through the sunroof of my car and so confused by how red it was that...I drove right into the line of cars stopped in front of me.
So sorry dude in the Ford Fiesta from 1992. My bad.
