Very proud of @magomezgarza and his accomplishments: It is always a celebration giving back to nature a little of the lots we take from it!
Today, we released 60 Mallard ducks (Anas platyrhynchus) in the Sierra de Picachos, NL area. Birds born in captivity in the Planetario Alfa in Monterrey, from a broodstock donated some years ago by the US Fish and Wildlife Service. The goal is to integrate them into the anual migratory route that goes from North America to Central America. My students in the Faculty of Veterinarian Medicine of the UANL and I, were happy.
There is plenty to do for the environment, not only plan!!

Muy orgulloso de @magomezgarza y de sus triunfos: Siempre es una fiesta devolverle a la naturaleza algo de lo mucho que le quitamos! Hoy liberamos 60 patos de collar (Anas platyrhynchus) en la zona de la Sierra de Picachos, NL, Aves nacidas en cautiverio en el Planetario Alfa en Monterrey, originarías de un pie de cría donado hace algunos años por el US Fish and Wildlife Service. El objetivo es integraros a la ruta migratoria anual que va de Norteamérica a Centroamérica. Mis estudiantes de la Facultad de Medicina Veterinaria de la UANL y yo, estuvimos felices.
