While accepting the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement at the Golden Globes in January, Meryl Streep dispensed with the usual 'thank you's, instead using her platform to respond to the (then) current electoral campaign - decrying bulling and hate-mongering. She brought the house down then, but never could her words ring more true.
