This week’s #rolemodelmonday goes to Mo'ne Davis (@monee_011). At 13 years old, Mo'ne became the first African American girl to compete in the little league world series and pitch a winning game! She then went on to be the youngest athlete to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. If that wasn't inspiring enough, she launched her own sneaker line, donating the proceeds to Plan International’s Because I Am A Girl Initiative, a movement to empower girls around the world. When asked about her impact, Davis responded, "I never thought at the age of 13 I would be a role model, but having young girls look up to me is pretty cool". Thank you for inspiring young girls everywhere to follow their dreams and break through gender stereotypes!
