About an hour ago Turk had a really scary seizure. And then, as he was recovering on my lap, I turned on the news and heard about the horrifying church shooting in Texas. There is so much sadness in the air. My heart breaks for these families and their community and for everyone who is a victim of gun violence. I've lost faith that our government will do anything about it and I'm honestly not sure where to turn for hope. What do you do in moments like these? I don't practice an organized religion but I've been feeling more and more in need of a space like that lately. And to think that anyone would want to make spaces like those unsafe for people breaks my heart all over again. ?
