Stinky Linky was my little partner in crime this morning. I needed his help in dealing with an 11 month old 80+lb Labrador who’s owner unfortunately couldn’t control on walks due to throwing out her back. I’ve been consistently working on ridding him of his leash-pulling issues in order to start adding new distractions to his walking environment aka STINKY LINKY! The lesson couldn’t have gone better. We were able to work at his starting threshold which was across the street from one another into finally being able to walk on the same sidewalk crossing one another’s path with absolutely no lunging ??
Now the that the foundation has been set it is important that we stay consistent with his training each and every walk. Patience, Motivation, and Consistency. These will be the glue that holds the training together. Now I’m off to work with a Frenchie Pup who’s in need of housebreaking help ?
