Lot of y’all wondering why I moved my #BowlTrain gigs from it’s longstanding Thursday night slot to a weird Sunday morn slot.

Because someone has to pay it forward and start from the beginning. The very elements that made me fall in love with my favorite period of hip hop (73-03) is missing nowadays. The music in the afternoon element. I was a 8 yr old watching my grandma’s next door neighbor Gary Dove dj. Goin through his record collection & taking notes. It’s easier to influence kids before they turn 10 and you let em take over the music in the car.

I’m not knocking the bottle service journey that hip hop took from the Bronx to the world. But I do wish that some of the Dope djs I respect would also do day parties and let kids get a chance to fall in love and discover music too.

Not everyone is gonna be a convert. But even if ONE parent @shazam’s a song that gains permanent residency in the ride home in the car then mission complete.
I’m goin all 80s tomorrow so reserve tix quick! ($12 11am-3pm) its a brunch (Blue Ribbon & their amazing chicken on deck!) it’s a bowl (20+ lanes! reserve now!) & yours truly will be spinning 4 hours. We got make up artists, games, hula hoops!
