Today is Intersex Awareness Day!

In January I made the decision to live openly as intersex, use my platform to give a voice to intersex people worldwide, and stand up for #intersexhumanrights.
I’m proud to be intersex. I think it's quite amazing and wouldn't want to be any different.

I will continue to speak out against the harmful surgeries that are still being imposed on intersex children today. (#StopIGM)

As a child I was subjected to unnecessary non-consensual and irreversible surgeries that will have lifelong negative consequences. These must end now!
How can you help?
Please send a letter to your local children’s hospital (endocrinologists and urologists) demanding they stop performing these unnecessary surgeries and make statements about the harms of such procedures. We need to hold them accountable.
